Downpour
This storm has completely overwhelmed the gutters on the building. Water pours down the walls, down the stairs, and over the lamp. Fortunately no sparks were seen.

Getting up at 4 AM pays sometimes as a photographer! I feel like sunrises don’t get their share of credit. This is just the beginning of one of the most spectacular sunrises I have ever seen.
I’m looking forward to all the unique photo opportunities that winter brings over the next months, but I am also already looking forward to the amazing variety of colors that every spring brings, like this pulmonaria, with flowers that vary from bright pink to almost blue.

This is along the Superior Hiking Trail off of Skyline Parkway west of Spirit Mountain. It isn't a super easy trail, but not a hard trail either, and it affords wonderful views of the St. Lewis River, and the Duluth Superior area. This particular day it was warm, and some of the fall colors were left, though most of the leaves had fallen. This was in a small Creek that ran under the trail, with some leaves that had freshly fallen.
