These are some of the out buildings on the historic Beckwith Ranch near Westcliffe Colorado. The ranch is quite picturesque with the wide fields backed by the mountains contrasting the white buildings.
The white of the hoarfrost on these trees provides a strong contrast to the deep blue of the sky.

This is a view of the rocks which form Red Canyon near CaƱon City Colorado. The color forms a striking contrast with that of the nearby mountains.
Lake Superior offers many types of shoreline. This particular rock shore is on Madeline Island, and provides wonderful spray from waves breaking.
