The effects of evening lighting can be dramatic if used properly. These grasses would normally be hard to pick out in a photo, but are brought to high contrast detail by the backlighting from the sun.

Golden Fields
This view of the sun setting over a grain field was spectacular, providing wonderful foliage to catch the backlighting.

This is one of a number of Lesser Goldfinches that were raiding some wild sunflowers in the Colorado mountains. They were fearless, but moved so quickly it was difficult to get a good picture.
