Skyrays
A strong burst of aurora spread rays down the western sky, so bright that I wondered if I might see my shadow.

This anhinga was very relaxed as it dried its feathers after a dive.

Saturated pastel colors are hard to capture with a camera, this is one of my better attempts.
Dramatic display
This pair of red wing blackbirds was very vocal as I canoed around a bog, and I soon found out they had a nest near by.
Noisy Neighbor
Bullfrogs form a noisy part of the summer chorus, making it easy to tell if they are near. Despite their large size and large voice they are often hard to spot, since their colors match their surroundings well.
